The 1st International Conference on Practicum and Community Service in Education
(the 1st ICoPCoSE)
Theme: Practicum and Student Community Service in the 21st Century Education
In the 21st century the world of education is faced with the challenges of the megatrend of 2045. Therefore, it cannot be denied that all countries try to move dynamically in order to meet the demands of increasingly complex and unpredictable needs and changing. Consequently, they must strive to adapt quickly to be able to balance the development of the global world. In this case, universities should be aware of this situation wisely by equipping their graduates with the blend of the necessary knowledge, skills, expertise, and experiences within their majors to succeed in their work and life upon the completion of their study.
To achieve the goal, students are given the opportunities to be involved in various activities in the level of practices to enable them to apply their knowledge and skills in the real contexts. Teaching practicum, industrial practicum (practicum), and community services constitute possible alternatives to realize this.
Regarding this, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta invites academicians, practitioners, bureaucrats or policy makers, industries, societies, and other relevant parties whose concern is on practicum and community service in education. The meeting of these parties with various backgrounds becomes important to gather ideas, insights, and innovations in conducting practicums and community service for students to respond to the challenges of the 21st century. The 1st International Conference on Practicum and Community Service in Education (The 1st IcoPCoSE) accomodates this.
The upcoming IcoPCoSE is held on November 3 - 4, 2021 with the umbrella theme of “Practicum and Student Community Service in the 21st Century Education”.
